Presenting the Kevin Strange Workshop Award for Superior Achievement

So my first workshop is finished. It was a hell of a lot of fun and I got to do over 4 hours of lectures on writing. We all know how much I love to talk! I also got to oversee the creation of a bunch of killer stories. But I want to take the time to acknowledge one story in particular. I’ll be doing this after every class. Selecting the very best story of the bunch and highlighting the author’s superior achievement of impressing ole Kevin Strange himself.

For the Spring 2016 workshop, the award goes to Michael Malubag for “Chew The Fat” his harrowing tale of a man haunted by an unseeable spectre and the grizzly decision he makes to combat his foe. Michael went above and beyond with this story. His command of short horror fiction blew me away and I’m proud to present him with the very first Kevin Strange Workshop Award for Superior Achievement!
